This is another hi-jacking of a famous art institution that I have had my eye on for many years. This amazing and powerful building of Frank Gehry (one of my favourite architects) was so stunning and complicated it defied many attempts at hi-jacking. I tried to blend in with it; to echo it; to clad it; to write my name on it's sleek, silver surface… in the end I just made something to plop alongside and give the impression of sucking the audience out of the original building into my annexe. The likeness of my structure to a brain is no accident!
