Hi-jack Tate Modern (detail of the glue sculpture) [2004]
glue, card, paint, plastic
40 x 30 x 20 cm
All The Sally Barker Empire models are totally or mostly made with glue using a glue gun. This structure exists as sculpture rather than architecture - it is not intended to be a Sally Barker Gallery or studio, rather a projection of my desire to make a huge sculptural intervention. The structure reflects the way these sculptures come about; through the drawing process. Every line of glue starts as a line drawn in pen or pencil then progresses to being drawn again using the glue gun.
